About Musashi Karate Club
The Musashi Karate club was formed in 2008 and officially opened to take new students in March 2009.
Chief Instructor Jamie Gray has been training in karate since the age of 11 and is a registered self protection instructor with the British Combat Association which is headed by Peter Consterdine and Geoff Thompson who are widely regarded as the best "practical and reality based" exponents in the martial arts world.
Jamie is an instructor in the Iain Abernethy Bunkai Jutsu system and trains with Iain on a regular basis and counts him as one of his close friends and is also a founding member of the Society of Applied Traditional Martial Arts set up by Iain.
Nicola is our children’s instructor and has been training for twenty plus years. Nicola trains with Iain Abernethy on a regular basis as well as other leading traditional Karate exponents such as Colin Steel 4th Dan, Neil Pottinger 4th Dan and Craig Penman 5th Dan. Nicola is assisted by Steven and Karl who have been training with Jamie for the past four years.
We are a non political, not for profit traditional club focusing on pragmatic traditional karate application not competition Karate. We are CRB checked and first aid certified.
Our children’s class focus on discipline, respect, self protection and of course fun!
(We accept children from eight years of age)
